These micro sensors are extremely sensitive and will detect
the smallest amounts of a static charge
, as small as 200mV. The 1 inch exposed durable solid steel antenna allows for more sensitivity than other designs. While some static detectors for paranormal use will only detect a static charge up to a few inches from the device. However, the Micro Static Detectors will detect a static charge 3 to 4 feet on average from the detector and up to 6 feet depending on the environment.
The Micro Static Detectors are designed to be seen from anywhere in a room. The high brightness LED's mounted on the detectors will shine a Red or Blue spot of light on the ceiling of most rooms. They are extremely portable and are the smallest static detectors available specifically designed for ghost hunting and paranormal use.

will flicker or go out, depending on the strength of the static field.

Investigation Tip
Place the Micro Static Detectors on a flat surface and allow the blue and red LEDs to light. This process is called equalization and could take up to several minutes. Be aware when moving the Micro Static Detectors from room to room. Carrying them in a shirt or pants pocket could build up a static charge on the units and may take a few minutes to fully equalize. Also, avoid placing the Micro Static Detectors on a carpeted floor as this may cause false positives during an investigation.
