HAUNTED DOLL - SPIRIT OF DONNA - SAD. Welcome to my auction and thank you for looking. Donna's story, she was married on August 13, 1919. She was married to John Jester. He was serving in the United States Army and was deployed the day after the wedding. That would be that last time she saw her husband. He was killed in the line of duty a few months later. She never got over his loss. She never married again and spent her life alone.  She died at the age of 49. She is looking for a safe, quite place. Some place that will bring her peace and comfort. She is still waiting for John to come for her. At night I have heard her cry for him.  The pictures were taken on Lake Michigan, she loves to be by the water, it makes her feel closer to John. I know there is a home for her.
The doll is 14" tall. Wearing a white satin dress with a white lace overlay. She has a tulle and lace veil.  Linen white bloomers, white socks and white shoes.
